Imports vs. local craft beers! What's better?

depends on what you're looking for. I know of no currently available locally brewed commercial examples of dunkel or helles for example. on the flip side, I don't think anything like rogue's soba ale is even available for import.

Personally, I'd be happy if the current English Pale Ale served at The Yamhill Brewing Company would replace that overpriced Boddington's. Everywhere you see that Tap, why not tell the Owner there is now an excellent local alternative, and stocking it will help create at least 10 new Portland jobs over the next 2 years. You can try the E.PA. now at a brand-NEW Tasting Room and Cafe - open now M-Sat (3PM weekdays, 2pm Saturdays) just off Belmont at 938 SE 9th. The Tasting Room is called the 9th Street Public House. Take-home Kegs can be purchased on site, and Brewery party rooms are available.
